Everything you need to know about SwiftWoo, setup, deployment, and customization.

Do I need to know Next.js to use this?

Basic familiarity helps for customization, but the storefront works out of the box. All content, colors, fonts, layouts, and SEO are controlled from WordPress admin — no frontend code changes needed for day-to-day operations.

Will it work with my existing WooCommerce products?

Yes. It connects to your existing WooCommerce store via the REST API. Your products, categories, orders, and customers are already there.

What WordPress plugins are required?

WooCommerce, WPGraphQL, JWT Authentication for WP REST API, and the included SwiftWoo Core plugin. No page builders or theme dependencies.

How do I set up the frontend?

The SwiftWoo Core plugin includes a Setup Wizard that auto-generates all credentials and produces a Connection Key. Click "Deploy to Vercel" directly from the wizard, or run the setup script for self-hosted setups. Total setup time: under 10 minutes.

Can I customize the design?

Fully. The source code is yours. It uses Tailwind CSS, so styling changes are straightforward. Colors and typography can also be changed from WordPress admin without touching code.

Does it support variable/configurable products?

Yes. Full variation support with attribute selectors (color, size, etc.), per-variation pricing, stock status, and images.

How does SEO work without WordPress rendering the pages?

Next.js generates full HTML server-side with proper meta tags, Open Graph data, JSON-LD structured data, dynamic sitemap, and robots.txt. Search engines see complete, crawlable pages — often better optimized than traditional WordPress.

Can I use my own payment gateway instead of Stripe?

The payment system is modular. Stripe Elements and PayPal are included. You can add other gateways by following the same pattern — create an API route and a checkout component.

What about hosting costs?

The frontend runs on any Node.js host. A basic VPS or Vercel's free tier is enough for most stores. Your WordPress backend stays on its existing hosting.

How do I get frontend updates?

We push updates to the SwiftWoo GitHub repo. On GitHub, click "Sync fork" and your hosting platform auto-rebuilds. The WordPress plugin and theme receive automatic updates via the WordPress dashboard.

What happens if my license expires?

Your storefront keeps working. You keep your fork of the code forever. You just won't receive new updates or be able to sync from the upstream repo until you renew.
